With over 11,000 reviews — nearly 8,000 of which are five-star — this trifold makeup mirror outshines the rest on this list. One reviewer calls it the "best vanity mirror ever" because the lighting is "bright but gentle to the eye," they're able to "see all sides of my face," and it's the "perfect size." The base of the mirror also detaches, so "it's great for travel," according to another reviewer, who bought one for themselves and another as a birthday present. Plenty of others say it's an excellent gift also, including one reviewer who bought the mirror for their girlfriend. They report that it's "one of the best purchases I have ever made for her" and that it exceeded expectations. "Not only were the light selections great, it came with three different light settings, and also provided varieties of magnification," they write. "It's perfect for her to use every morning to apply her makeup."
Over 50 five-star reviewers mention the great value and performance of this USB and battery-powered lighted mirror, including one who was "shocked at the quality for the price." They note that it's the "perfect size" for their vanity, that the "lighting is amazing," and that they like it so much that they're purchasing a second for their daughter. "After trying to put eye makeup on using the mirror over the sink, thinking it was perfect, only to find later that I looked a little like the walking dead, I decided I would get a mirror with the 10x addition, and lighted [with] LEDs," starts another reviewer who loves her new mirror: "Now I can see little things, like eyelashes where they shouldn't be." And a third reviewer, who notes that it's compact enough to travel with, says it provides "excellent lighting so you can fix your eyebrows, eyelashes, and makeup with total clarity."
Dozens of five-star reviewers said they were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this mirror considering its low price. "I was expecting a cheaper quality for the price," says one reviewer. "But the mirror is clean and flawless. I bought this for a gift for my mom, but when I go to her house, I end up using it more than she does." Another reviewer bought this mirror for travel, but they write, "I might order another to use at home in place of my $100 Zadro that won't lock into place and keeps falling over when I use it." And this very happy shopper says, "I can't believe this mirror is so good for such a low price. I bought it to replace my more expensive makeup mirror because the lighting was so bad. This one gives really clean (i.e., natural) light. Love it!"
Reviewers gave this mirror top marks for its elegant finish, sturdy base, and double sides. But more specifically, this mirror stood out to reviewers for its three brightness settings, which can be controlled by tapping the base of the mirror. One five-star reviewer writes, "The touch control is why I chose this unit. It's nice not to have to find a switch, just touch the base and it goes on in stages from light to bright to brightest." Another reviewer, who calls the mirror "solid, well-made, and easy to use," says, "I don't like having to touch the actual surface of a mirror to get the light to come on — touching the base is way better." And one reviewer who found out about the Conair from a friend says, "I liked it so much I entered the product number to find it on Amazon. The tap/touch to turn on is very convenient because when your hands are full or messy you can just tap it with your wrist to turn it on or off."
Reviewers love this double-sided makeup mirror because one side has a 10x magnification, which is so clear that "you can see every pore and hair growing on your face," according to one impressed reviewer. Another, who bought this for their mother, reports, "She loves it! She says she can see everything!" And other purchasers appreciate that the base is very sturdy. "It has a little weight in the base so it stays in place when you are adjusting the mirror," one writes.
We wrote about this Simplehuman mirror back in 2017, when senior editor Crystal Martin praised how it "illuminates all the nuances of makeup application." Reviewers also seem impressed, with over 130 five-star ratings from people who say it's worth the price. One such reviewer says the Simplehuman mirror is a "great investment" partly because of its motion sensor light, which comes on as your face approaches the mirror, but they add that the lighting and magnification is "amazing … applying makeup, tweezing, eyebrows, eyeliner — all goes on meticulously when using this mirror." Another reviewer, who has had theirs for over a year and uses their mirror multiple times a day, writes, "I love the automatic sensor and have had no issues at all. The 5x magnification is just the right amount for me … This has far exceeded my expectations!" And a third reviewer, who's gone through "several makeup mirrors of different brands" — all of which "earned themselves trips to Goodwill" — says that they're finally "100 percent satisfied" with this one. "I can clearly see everything on my face down to the pore," they write. "Seriously, this is the only makeup mirror I will ever need in my entire life. It's expensive but a worthy investment, considering how much I had wasted on other mirrors."
"I haven't done my brows in a while because I'm going blind and couldn't see until I got this," writes one reviewer, who is one of dozens who appreciate the different levels of magnifications on this mirror. But many agree that the removable 10x magnification mirror is the standout. "The added suction cup mirror with 10x magnification is my favorite for doing my brows as I can see every little thing," one says. Another says they "use it for putting on mascara and eyeliner." And because it's removable, one user says "(1) I can use the rest of the mirror without it if I don't need that much magnification, and (2) I can place it where it's most ideal or even just hold it in front of my face." One complaint among reviewer is that the light is initially too bright, but, as one points out, "the fact that the lights brightness can be adjusted is a big plus."
"The best thing about this mirror is the touch sensor, simply touching it turns on the LED lights, very cool and convenient," writes one reviewer, adding, "The magnification of 2x and 3x are great. Unlike the other mirrors listed, this lighted makeup mirror comes with an acrylic storage base, a feature plenty of reviewers appreciate. "The extra storage is amazing," writes one such reviewer, who notes they were "able to fit almost all of my makeup in it. And I have a lot." Another reviewer, who plans to use theirs in their dorm room, says it has "plenty of storage for my brushes and makeup" but is still compact enough for small spaces and traveling. And reviewers are just as impressed by the mirror itself. One who says it "really helps when doing makeup" loves "the different brightness settings when you hold down the button and the three different magnifications on the right hand side."
"So easy to use, the lighting is perfect, [and] you can adjust the brightness with the touch of a button," writes one reviewer of this dressing-room-style Weily makeup mirror. They like that, once you find your ideal light setting, "it keeps it there for your next use when you turn it on." Another reviewer appreciated that setup was easy, as they "didn't have to mount it to my wall or assemble anything." Instead, it comes on its own stand and is bright enough that you "won't have to buy a ring light." And while a couple of reviewers say it's the "perfect size for a vanity," one claims this "lovely little mirror" is also just the "right size for [their] closet" and appreciates that it's "super affordable, has three light modes, and an amazing touch screen."
One reviewer describes this as "a spendy mirror," but ultimately concludes that it was worth the cost. "It's very nicely made, with a high-quality mounting system that made it easy to install. It comes on as you get 'into the zone' to use the mirror, and shuts off pretty promptly when you move away." Another reviewer writes, "I fell in love with this mirror right away (even though I'm a little bit traumatized by all the imperfections and hairs and other things on my face that I really never noticed before!)." One feature, in particular, that they appreciate is that sensor: "I love that the light goes off as soon as you walk away. I was also afraid that it would turn on every time I walked by, but it doesn't — you have to get your face pretty close to the mirror for the light to turn on, which I think is great."
This Ovente wall-mounted mirror doesn't feature an auto-sensor like the Simplehuman above, but it still has bright LED lights and two mirrors for a fraction of the price. "The magnifying glass on its own shows me every little stray hair, but then you turn the light on and nothing will escape you," writes one happy reviewer who likes that the antique bronze finish "looks really rich and right at home" in their bathroom. Another reviewer says — or maybe even warns — that the mirror "really shows EVERYTHING. All the imperfections and stray hairs really stand out." They also say it feels "sturdy, and it stays in place when extended." And over a dozen say the mirror was "easy to mount," including one reviewer who likes how it "gives [their] bathroom the luxury hotel experience."
"I was looking for something that would stick to my bathroom mirror firmly, without requiring permanent drilling/fixture," writes one reviewer, who was pleased with this option. "This mirror is great because: (1) It really helps prevent back/neck strain I would normally experience from leaning over my bathroom sink to reach the mirror for my morning makeup routine. (2) The LED lighting is great for getting my makeup to look natural. (3) Being able to flex the neck as well as swivel the mirror is awesome. (4) The square shape gives you much more coverage than a round mirror. (5) The level of magnification is perfect. Not too big or small." The suction also works on more than just mirrored surfaces. "I mounted my new LED make-up mirror on my vanity, right in front of me, and I can see perfectly," one user says, while another notes, "I love that it can be suctioned to the tower cabinet." No matter where you stick it, reviewers say this thing stays secure. One customer, who tried a different brand before buying this mirror, says, "The suction on this mirror is SO MUCH BETTER." They add, "It clicks into place and does not move. Also this square mirror seems larger than the round ones and it is easy to move around with the flexible gooseneck."

One reviewer says it's ideal "if you're going abroad and find yourself unable to see properly to have a decent shave" since it has "excellent magnification" and the "illuminated outer rim shows exactly where you've missed." And on top of being collapsable, its base is sturdy enough that it can stand on its own and its height can be adjusted. One reviewer notes that "you may need to set it on something to get the comfortable height for you," but after using this on a few trips she's "thrilled that [they] don't have to put on makeup in a steamy bathroom." And another who brought this on a trip to Mexico reports that it "lived up to expectations… big enough to see my face and small enough to travel with. Lights up wonderfully."
